Project to Stop Violence Against Women
On Friday afternoon, at Kor Pai Community Center, South Pattaya, His Excellency Sontaya Khunpleum – the Former Tourism and Sport Minister, was the Honorable Guest commencing the first Project of the Stop Violence against Women campaign. Mr. Pornsak Tepapornsuwan – the Chief Prosecutor General of Region 2, Pattaya’s Mayor Ittipon Khunpleum plus Council members and guests, came to support this project established by Princess Pattara Kittiyapa – the grand-daughter of His Majesty King Bhumibol, who has worked to end violence against women both in Thailand and internationally.
Of the 33 communities in Pattaya, this was Ko Pai’s time to be the first.
Donations were made by the Prosecutor General’s Office Region 2 including bags of rice, basic needs and whistles, to symbolize the project of “Stop Violence against Women” to the people of Ko Pai Community.
