President Marloes de Saeqher and her welfare team discussed recent projects.    Special mention was made that during 2007, Ivy Schlagerer had donated 100,000 baht to start up an Eye Care Programme to help many children with eye problems, including children at the Baan Jing Jai Orphanage and Fountain of Life.  Ivy has also kindly donated another 70,000 baht so that this programme can continue and be expanded.  Eye testing will soon begin with children from the Camillian Centre in Rayong.   During the lunch, PILC handed over a cheque for 89,300 baht to Liz Shepherd and Dianne Doell of the Mercy Centre, Pattaya.  This money is for scholarships for 22 children from the Mercy Centre for the coming school year.
