Fatal Road Accident

Bike rider killed in road incident

Banglamung Police and Sawang Boriboon medics were called out on the 11^th January to Sukhumvit Road where a fatal road accident had occurred. 

At the scene they found the body of 26 year old Mr. Sommutiram, the rider of a Honda motorcycle involved in the crash with a BMW car.  Nearby was the BMW turned upside down due to the ferocity of the collision.  The driver Mr. Jakrin and his passenger were uninjured.   He stated that as he was driving along, the bike crossed his path and he could not manage to brake in time, so collided with it and hit a nearby post turning over as it slid down the embankment.  He was given a breathalyzer and taken back to the station to be charged with negligent driving.
