Drowning Tragedy

American tourist drowns on island

Sawang Boriboon medics and Sea Rescue were called out to Koh Larn Island on the morning of the 5^th February to attend to a drowning incident.  

An American tourist, 82 year old Mr. Huynh Minh, originally from Vietnam, was part of a tour at Tawhaen Bay and went out swimming in the sea when he got into trouble and went under the water for about ten minutes.  He was pulled ashore and given mouth to mouth resuscitation until the medics arrived.  However, even though the medics tried to keep the man alive on the way to hospital, he died as the boat landed at Bali Hai pier.
