Man attacks lottery seller

Banglamung police and Sawang Boriboon medics were called to the scene of a robbery incident on Soi Pranpor, Central Pattaya on the morning of 16^th September, Lottery day!  There they attended to a female lottery seller who had just been brutally attacked by a man who then stole her shoulder bag containing money.  She was given first aid and taken immediately to hospital for further treatment.  Apparently, the man, aged about 30, came up to the woman, pretending to purchase some lottery tickets from her. Instead, he attempted to grab her bag, but she fought back, causing him to hit her many times in the face with a steel bar that he was holding; he then grabbed her bag and fled in the direction of Sukhumvit Road.  Police gathered the bloodstained bar which was wrapped in brown paper as evidence and an investigation is underway in the area to find the thug.
