Repair Shop Crackdown

Stolen bikes and spare parts scam

After receiving a lot of complaints about illegal activities going on at certain motorcycle repair shops in the city, Pattaya Police went along to a few at random to investigate during the evening of the 13th October.  Led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Sutham Chaosrithong, a team of officers checked up on a few repair shops along Thepprasit Road.  All but one were acting legally, the other was found to be harboring 10 suspect bikes with no licence plates and also many spare parts which have probably been taken from stolen bikes.  The shop owner denied any illegal activity but was nonetheless taken away for questioning at the police station to jog his memory as to how he had stolen bikes and parts in his store.
