During the afternoon of the 18th November, Banglamung Police received a call that the body of a Thai man had been discovered on the edge of a pond near to Ban Nong Hoy Road. Officers together with Sawang Boriboon medics went along to investigate. At the scene they found 28 year old Weerapol Taosuwan. He had been shot a number of times in the head. Medics estimated he had died 5 hours earlier. Nearby were a fishing rod and the deceased’s parked vehicle. There were no signs of any fighting. A local resident, who discovered the body, came forward to mention hearing three gunshots firing about 2 hours previously, so went out on a motorcycle to investigate, passing an unknown Thai man riding at high speed on a motorcycle. Later, a relative of the deceased came to the scene and stated that he had arrived a week ago from Nan province in the north of Thailand. A report was made and a thorough investigation is now underway into the incident.
