On November 26, 2009 at 9a.m, Dr. Na-rong-chai Akk-ka-ra-se-ra-nee, the advisor to Prime Minister and former Minister of Commerce, officially made a speech to open the seminar of Tourism Center, Industrial Center, towards the Center of Economy in ASEAN. The seminar was held at Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort. There were many related departments and individual participated in this seminar.

Dr. Na-rong-chai said that “Thailand made a free trade agreement with countries in the Asian region and Thailand opened the free trade between each country in 4th ASEAN Summit on January 1992 at Singapore according to the offer of Thailand.”

Dr. Narongchai further said that “In order to promote and gain knowledge and make understanding about the work plan of establishing the ASEAN Economic Community, the Department of Trade Negotiations, Ministry of Commerce, had assigned the Fiscal Policy Research Institute Foundation to hold a seminar both in the central and regional sections.”

The seminar was held with the objectives to promulgate the information of free trade under the framework of ASEAN Economic Community and make understanding about the impact which may effect to the operators and general public.
