Pattaya City Hall was the venue for a Press Conference announcing the Pattaya International Beach Football Cup for this year, to take place at Jomtien Beach Football Stadium on Jomtien Beach Road from 14th to 20th December. 10 teams will participate this year. They are Thailand, Bangladesh, Holland, Germany, Ireland, England, Finland, France, Norway and Denmark. The tournament will have two initial groups each of 5 teams. The group draw taking place during the Press Conference gave following result. Group A: England, Holland, Denmark, Norway and Bangladesh. Group B: Thailand, Finland, France, Germany and Ireland. The opening game on Monday 14th December will be between England and Holland. The winner and runner up from each group will play in the semi finals. Each team will bring along a cheerleader group and a trophy will be awarded to the best cheerleader group. There will be trophies to all participating teams and medals will be presented to the players and officials of the first 3 teams. Each team will be able to register a maximum of 15 players (with 5 on the pitch at any time) and a number of 5 officials (manager, coach, assistant coach etc). Each game will be played in 3 periods of 10 minutes and the games will start every day at 16.00pm at the Beach Football Stadium on Jomtien Beach Road.
