5^th International Beach Football Tournament

Pattaya City Hall was the venue for a Press Conference announcing the Pattaya International Beach Football Cup for this year, to take place at Jomtien Beach Football Stadium on Jomtien Beach Road from 14^th to 20^th December. 10 teams will participate this year. They are Thailand, Bangladesh, Holland, Germany, Ireland, England, Finland, France, Norway and Denmark. The tournament will have two initial groups each of 5 teams. The group draw taking place during the Press Conference gave following result. Group A: England, Holland, Denmark, Norway and Bangladesh. Group B: Thailand, Finland, France, Germany and Ireland. The opening game on Monday 14^th December will be between England and Holland. The winner and runner up from each group will play in the semi finals. Each team will bring along a cheerleader group and a trophy will be awarded to the best cheerleader group. There will be trophies to all participating teams and medals will be presented to the players and officials of the first 3 teams. Each team will be able to register a maximum of 15 players (with 5 on the pitch at any time) and a number of 5 officials (manager, coach, assistant coach etc). Each game will be played in 3 periods of 10 minutes and the games will start every day at 16.00pm at the Beach Football Stadium on Jomtien Beach Road.
