The 5th International Beach Football Tournament kicked off to a good start at the specially built Football Stadium on Jomtien Beach on the afternoon of the 14th December, when Deputy Mayor Ronnakit Aegesing officially opened the games. The 7 day Tournament, which is organised by Pattaya City Hall, has players from 10 countries competing for trophies. The opening game in Group A was between last year’s winners, England, who played against Holland. England won 8:5. The other Group A game was between Thailand against Finland. Thailand won 8 goals to 4. In Group B, Denmark tied with Norway scoring 5 goals each. Germany scored an impressive 10 goals against the French team with only 1 goal. The tournament goes on until Sunday, 20th December.
