Man killed in road accident

Banglamung police were notified in the early hours of the 7^th February by Sawang Boriboon volunteers that a fatal road accident had occurred on Highway 36, near the flyover to Pong sub district.  On arrival at the scene, they found the body of 39 year old Mr. Pairat Sookkhum, a welder at a local company.   He had been hit by a truck whilst trying to cross the road.  An eye witness stated that the driver did not stop and fled the scene at high speed.  Police gathered as much information as possible about the truck and an investigation is now underway to catch the culprit.
