After a tip off, from a “concerned member of the public”, police set up an investigation into drug trafficking, involving a Swedish man :-

41-year-old Mr. Henrik Koch and Miss Pawina Srimuang 21, who were staying at a hotel on 3rd Road, Central Pattaya.

Police swooped on the scene and found a gun, a mixed amount of illegal substances, drug equipment, sex toys and 500,000 baht in cash.

The Swede had managed to smuggle the drugs in by hiding them in various travel items.

When or after he was arrested he tried to offer a 500,000 baht bribe to Police drop the charges.

The Swedish Embassy in Bangkok has been notified, and the couple are being held for further investigations.
