Terrazzo

Fancy a bite to eat, with a choice of appetizing dishes to enjoy and most importantly with prices that won’t burn a hole in your pocket, then look no further than the Terrazzo Restaurant, located in the grounds of the smart recently opened 4 star Holiday Inn on Pattaya Beach Road.  Under the creative eye of Executive Food and Beverage Assistant Manager, Hans Van Steertegem, both Terrazzo and nearby indoor Havana restaurant at the Holiday Inn have undergone a wonderful transformation to bring the customers a choice of great tasting dishes at extremely fair prices.  Havana concentrates on a fine selection of Tapas and Cocktails, whilst the outdoor Terrazzo offers a more contemporary assortment of tempting dishes. One can enjoy a number of delicious Antipasti and Salad dishes from 140 baht prior to sampling one of the main course meals such as Chicken Supreme (340 baht) or Lamb Chops at 520 baht. The signature dishes at Terrazzo has to be the wide choice of Pasta from 220 to 280 baht and 23 freshly prepared Pizzas, from 250 to 350 baht.  And now Hans has included a new concept with a Barbeque selection of snacks at an amazing cost of 99 baht each, with delicacies such as Lamb Kofta Roll, Pork Sausage Baguette and Chicken Tikka Roll.  Not only that but besides the Happy Hour starting around 7pm when prices are literally cut in half, one can enjoy Italian house wine for a remarkable 99 baht a glass.   And so to the tasting!   We had to try a few of the Barbeque snacks – and indeed for 99 baht – the fresh rolls and baguettes were filled to capacity with tasty Lamb Kofta, Garlic Prawns and Chipotle Chicken.  A great deal accompanied with good tasting house wine (also at 99 baht).  Terrazzo serves up extremely good tasting Sauces especially the rich flavoursome Bolognese Sauce (230 baht) and perfectly cooked Spaghetti.  But it was the choice of freshly made 23 Pizzas that was the surprise star turn of the meal.  Especially one entitled “Little India” (340 baht) a scrumptious thin and crispy base with Tomato Curry Sauce, Chicken Tikka, Mozzarella, Green Pepper, Mango slices and Mint and Coriander Salad topping.  We also tried the traditional, simple but tasty, Margarita (250 baht) with Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella and Basil and an equally impressive Diavola (320 baht) with Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Spicy Salami and Red Chili!   All went perfectly well with a drop or two of quality Hunter Valley Australian Merlot at 195 baht a glass!  Cheers!
