Deputy Mayor of Nongprue Municipality Mr Niyom Tiangtham attended the opening ceremony of their weekly “cleanliness project” on Wednesday morning.

To stimulate locals’ hygienic practices, this programme is being developed to educate and is promoted by the Public Health and Environment Department.

This is in response to the discovery of excess rubbish found in local streets and also on vacant plots of land, in the Nongprue District, after a thorough inspection had been carried out by the department. The municipality’s staff members together with local students started the program by cleaning the offending areas.
