A Pattaya police officer was reported that over twenty young men were in a gun battle between rival gangs near Pratumnak Hill on the early Sunday morning.

Police, chased them to Bali Hai Pier. There, some of the men dropped three motorcycles and ran away.

Whilst the police investigated the scene, they stopped five suspicious young men who were in their Toyota pickup and found a pistol.

The police confiscated the gun and detained the driver of the vehicle Mr Nattapon Pinmani aged 20, who confessed that this gun belonged to his farther, which he had stolen to help his younger brother from another gang.

However, Nattapon was taken to the police station for further questioning.

The police charged him with the possession of a gun and carrying a gun in public.
