Creature found on Jomtien Beach

Who says that tourism isn’t booming, when Pattaya seems to be getting loads of visitors arriving every day?  One such visitor was a young turtle, found stranded amongst the rubbish on Jomtien Beach shore during the early hours of Monday morning.  As the creature looked to be in a weak condition, kindly local businessman Mr. Lerdsanya, who found it, called the authorities to come help out.   Attempts failed to release the foot long turtle back to the sea, so it was sent to the Turtle Preservation Sanctuary at the Royal Thai Navy Base down in Sattahip, where it will receive care until it recovers and then released back home into the sea.
