On Friday morning at 6 am, a team of police and Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team were informed about a body found in the labor camp of Italian Development Co., Ltd. in Soi Siam Country Club opposite the Railway station.
At the scene, the body of Mr. Pipat Wongward, age 42, originally from Nan prov-ince, was found lying on his mattress in a small room, wearing only underwear. A bottle of “Yah Dong” (a local liquor sold in pots) was found beside his body. The TV and fan were on. There were NO signs of foul play in the room.
Mr. Pornchid Tep.jan.tra, age 38 years, the nephew of the deceased, said his uncle was a builder who enjoy drinking Yah Dong every evening before bed time, and he had been the one who always woke his uncle for work. Today was different as his uncle did not answer his call, and the nephew found him dead in the room after he managed to open the door to check on his uncle.
The police have arranged an Autopsy, and will continue with further investigations to find the cause of death, and to inform the deceased’s family.
