500 low-income families finally receive their government housing
There were some very happy new homeowners on Saturday. Af-ter a long time waiting, Naklua’s “Baan Eua-Ah-Torn” Housing Pro-ject, established by the previous prime minister and carried out by the current administration, is complete and ready for occupancy. Of-ficials on Saturday finalized delivery of the new homes to the appli-cants who had qualified under the rules set forth by the Government Housing Bank.
Mr. Issara Somchai, the Social Development and Human Secu-rity Minister, commenced the house delivery ceremony, handing ap-proximately 500 houses in the “Baan Eua Ah Torn” Housing Project in Naklua to their new owners. This government plan helps local middle- and lower-income families to afford a home which has all the basic utilities and conveniences of any commercial housing es-tate.
The National Housing Authority is overseeing this Naklua pro-ject. The entire settlement covers 53 Rai or nearly 85,000 sq. meters and consists of over 2,000 units at 33 square meters each. The com-plexes come with parking lots, pathways, and playgrounds. After this successful launch the 2nd phase will continue, with all of those units already reserved for local families.
