On Friday afternoon, the Hard Rock Café Pattaya held a great campaign in co- operation with the Hard Rock Café U.S.A. and “Hard Rock Café International” and “the Tanyarak Foundation” to promote education about Breast Cancer Prevention.  Breast Cancer is the 2^nd cause of death for women, following Cervix cancer.  Statistics show that Breast cancer kills an average of 5,000 persons a day throughout the world, and the actual cause of Breast cancer is still unknown.

The Tanyarak Foundation works directly with this problem and promotes prevention and physical check up programs for women.  If breast cancer is detected at the early stage it is possible to cure it in time. Dr. Tammanit Un.su.sing.ha from Tanyarak Foundation gave a lecture to the attendees from 1 pm – 5 pm.

The “Pinktober” Campaign has been set in October of every year to raise funds for all foundations working with Breast Cancer.  As for the 2010 Pinktober Charity Event, 15% of the money raised from selling products, such as t-shirt, nightgown etc , 75% from pendants sales, 25% of “pink” hotel room rents   in all Hard Rock Cafés will donated to appropriate foundations for the use of Breast Cancer Prevention and Cure.
