On Saturday, 9^th of October, after hosting the nine monks blessing in the morning for their new Media Caf?, located on Soi Day-Night, Danny Fobian and his wife Khun Pen put on a fabulous opening party and birthday bash for their friend, Ron Fleitman. Many friends of the Fleitmans came, decked out in their cowboy hats and boots, to kick up their heels and dine on grilled burgers, fries, and fine Thai food.  The 3-layer strawberry cake- and-whipped-cream confection was not to be missed, and disappeared rather quickly!  When Ron was asked the secret to a long life, he replied, “Only the good die young!” and, “It helps to share your life with a good partner.”

The highlight of the evening was the energetic, 100% country hoe-down by musician and composer, Barry Upton.  His rock-a-billy beat brought everyone to their feet, and even the kids had a go at dancing the night away. Barry played many old favorites, and then tore up the floor with his new Nashville ballads.

The Media Caf? staff and chef were remarkably generous with their efforts to please, and absolutely no one left feeling hungry. Pattaya People and friends wish the very best to the Ronald!
