A smart mouth leads to a dumb fight for local Thai man
Just after midnight on Monday police were called to break up a fight in front of Central Festival Pattaya Beach Mall after being informed that two groups of young Thai men were brawling on the beach.
The police arrived and separated the groups from each other. There were 4 men on each side fighting with each other, but one man altered the odds considerably when he pulled a foot-long Sparta knife out and slashed 23-yr-old Sittichai or Geng, across his back. He was sent immediately to Banglamung hospital for treatment.
The owner of the knife was Mr. Ekarat Tongchalom, aged 22. He claimed that he, his girlfriend, along with their friends, were walking along the beach when Mr. Sittichai made rude comments directed at his girlfriend. Defending her honor, Mr. Ekarat had no choice but to grab a knife from his car and bloody his opponent. Mr. Ekarat admitted his guilt, but police detained both sides and took them to the station, perhaps to await a formal charge of general hotheaded foolishness.
