Intoxicated motorcyclist killed instantly in high-speed crash
A terrible high speed motorcycle accident claimed the life of a man around 3 am Monday. Capt. Wirat Taidtong of the Banglamung Police and Sawang Boriboon medics rushed to the Nong Get Yai neighborhood opposite Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, where the man had crashed his motorcycle into an electric pole.
The body of a Thai man, approximately 30 to 35 years old, was found dead with a broken neck and extensive blood loss, and wrapped around the electric pole. Beside the body was a mangled green Honda Wave Motorcycle. There was no evidence found on the man to identify him, but officers noted the smell of alcohol was overpowering on the victim and obviously contributed to the crash.
Under the motorcycle seat, however, police found the name Mr. Subin Gosee, which may or may not be the name of the deceased. Witnesses stated that the man was driving extremely fast and he appeared very drunk. In an instant, he smashed his motorcycle into the utility pole and died upon impact. There was nothing anyone could do. Police gathered statements from witnesses and the body was sent to the coroner’s office to await identification.
