On Saturday afternoon, the Minister of Industry Chaiwut Bannawat presided as guest of honor over the Grand Opening of the OTOP Product Development Plan Seminar held in the Asia Hotel. The seminar focused on raising the quality of the clothes, materials, food and herbs produced under the OTOP program to comply with international standards.
This project was a continuation of a the One-Tambon-One Product project focusing on traditional Thai handcrafted goods in provinces in the Northern, Northeastern and Central part of Thailand. Ministry officials would like to see better-quality products to properly reflect the high level of workmanship and skill available in the country. Manufacturing and development plans were exhibited and discussed. The seminar was held on the 16th and 17th of October.
