On Friday night, on the Ground floor of the Central Festival Pattaya Beach Mall, Mayor Ittipon Khunpleum was the Guest of Honor to commence the Grand Opening of the “2010 SCB Home Loan Expo”. The bank was represented by Mr. Jaroon Kaimook, the Regional Business Relation Manager, and Mr. Saral Tantijamnan –the Managing Director of the mall. SCB believes that they are offering a great plan to reduce Debt & Global Warming, for people who need assistance for home ownership.
Following a warm response from consumers last year, the SCB Home Loan Expo is being held for a second year. SCB wanted to offer consumers greater access to home loans. The SCB Home Loan Expo was presented not only in Bangkok, but also in major cities around Thailand, including Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Hat Yai, and Phuket. SCB is currently number one in the home loan market, with a 30% market share, and it intends to increase that lead. The bank expects to generate billions of baht from these expos.
At the expo, SCB offers 0% interest for 12 months for all types of home loans. Customers applying for a home loan at the event will have a chance to win many prizes, including a home entertainment set worth over 25,000 baht, and gold bars and gift vouchers worth over 900,000 baht for customers receiving loan approvals and signing a mortgage by 31 December. Good quality non-performing assets (NPA) are also available, with special discounts up to 60% and waivers of title deed transfer fees, income tax, and specific business taxes. Consumers buying selected NPAs with SCB home loans will receive a privilege of 0% interest for 3 years.
