On Friday morning, on Soi Sukhumvit 21 located on the Naklua side, Members of the Pattaya City Council and the City Engineering Department engaged in a project to improve the road surface in this soi.  Due to the damage caused by the heavy rain in the past month many potholes appeared on the road, causing multiple accidents and difficulties for travelers.  35 Truckloads of red soil were delivered and dumped on the road’s surface, smoothing the roadway for a distance of 800 meters. This was just an initial procedure to minimize the problem for time being. Further improvements have been submitted to the City Council for completing the road with concrete, and awaits the approval.
