On Saturday morning at 6 am, in front of Pattaya City Hall, 2,000 monks were invited to receive food offering from the people and give blessing prayers to every-one at the ceremony.
This ceremony was held to preserve Buddhism for the next generations and to pray for 286 temples in the most dangerous four provinces in the south of Thai-land will be conducted every year henceforth. This was the third year.
Thousands of people participated in the ceremony including Buddhists from other countries. Pattaya City Mayor present opened the ceremony and gave the in-troductory Speech in both Thai and English.
Students and teachers from every school under Pattaya Educational Control participated to help with charity raising all around the ceremony area in which they encouraged people to donate money, and the money would be sent to help the flood victims in the south and 286 temples.
This campaign was one of the sub-campaigns of the “Food Offering to 1,000,000 monks in 77 provinces of Thailand” in which Thai Buddhists were so joy-ful to be able to participate in this ceremony for merit and accomplishment for the future.
