100,000 Baht Worth of Fake Goods

 

On Friday night (10th), a group of police from the Department of Intellectual Property Rights of the Royal Thai Police arrested a group of four “pirate” vendors. They were caught selling fake brands of clothes, watches, mobile phones, handbags and purses. The perpetrators were caught at Jomtien Beach and Tukcom South Pattaya Road and sent to Pattaya Police for further legal proceedings.

South Pattaya area, from Pattaya Beach Road up to Pattaya Second Road has been listed as the Red Zone of Suppression for Intellectual Property Suppression Department as there are always imitation brand  products for sale to  tourists at very cheap prices.

The value of the goods confiscated was 100,000 Baht and the police will continue to investigate vendors in the city to protect those who sell bone fide brands.
