At 3:00 am on Tuesday (14^th), a group of Pattaya Police, supervised by the Suppression Inspector Pol. Sub Lt. Chote Lamom and Deputy Suppression Inspector Pol. Capt. Jamrad Tongjinda, arrested a Yah Bah and Yah Ice Gang consisting of 5 offenders. Mr. Prasit Seegaid, aged 33, a local resident, working as a driver for the G 4 S Money Delivery Service Company, was found with 35 grams of Yah Ice, a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver with 15 bullets, in a Nissan pickup truck at the “Amorn Fresh Market” of Naklua.

The other offenders were Mr. Amnart Topawong or “Q” aged 20, with his girlfriend who was only 13 years old, apprehended with 16 tablets of Yah Bah near the “Prima Place Apartments” in South Pattaya, Mr. Aroon Po-ngam aged 26 with 2 tablets of Yah Bah, who was caught in Soi Pratamnak 13, Mr. Naran Patisain, aged 32, a cloth vendor in “Amorn Market” who was caught with 12 tablets of Yah Bah at the market. 5 Mobile phones were impounded as well.

The police had been collecting information about this gang, and when the evidence was strong enough, officers set up a plan to arrest the gang by contacting one of the members for a purchase.  The police managed to catch one dealer and then the leader Mr. Prasit.

Mr. Prasit was contacted by his own gang members for the bigger drug deal and he fell for the sting. He drove his truck to the agreed location for the sale in his G4S uniform, with a gun, as his main job was working as Security Guard for money deliveries.

The police pounced on Mr. Prasit and seized the illegal substances. Mr. Prasit stated that he bought Yah Ice from a friend for reselling to teenagers in the city, as he owes a lot of money to many people, and he needed to make money pronto.  He was charged with “Possession of Drugs for Sale” along with his teammates and all were sent for legal proceedings.
