HIV Prevention campaign presented to area students
On Wednesday afternoon at the Pattaya Youth Sport Center located in Soi Thepprasit 7, the Public Media Services HIV Prevention Campaign was presented to over 300 students aged between 15 and 24 from schools in the Pattaya and Nongprue areas. The goal was to educate teens and young adults to understand how AIDS is transmitted, and what they can do to stay safe. The trainers handed out publications to all those attending and encouraged the students to share the information with their families and communities.
Deputy Mayor Wuttisak Rermgitjagarn attended as the Guest of Honor. The Director of the Youth Activity Center of Pattaya, Mr. Nattapong Suksiri, introduced the campaign to the Deputy Mayor and other officials attending.
Many interesting and fun activities were presented to help the students comprehend the complexities of the AIDS virus. They enjoyed performances by famous singers, and even had the chance to debate on the subject titled “Thai Youth— Safe from AIDS” with a famous Thai movie star Mr. Jirayut ( Gao).
