Soon after midnight on Wednesday Pattaya were called for help in what appeared to be an attempted murder at the Cottage Resort, located near to Big C, North Pattaya.
Police arrived to find Mr. Yuranan Leuang-on, aged 21 from Chercherng-sao province, who works as a Bartender at the Cottage Resort, covered in blood and with wounds on his back, left shoulder, and left arm. The Sawang Boriboon Medics sent him to Pattaya Memorial Hospital immediately as he was not in any condition to make a statement.
The Resort Security guard, who witnessed the attack, stated that Mr. Yuranan was sitting on a motorcycle in the parking lot talking on his phone when three Thai men walked up to him and one pulled out a sword and started slashing at Mr. Yuranan.
He tried to protect himself by using his left arm to block the blows but he fell to the ground. The assailants still kept slashing him until the security shouted at them.
They then jumped in a black Honda Civic and drove away heading towards North Pattaya.
The police put out a radio message to stop the vehicle, to no avail!
However, the police assumed that Mr. Yuranan could identify his attackers. Police will continue their investigations when Mr. Yuranan recovers.
