On Saturday night (8^th) at the temporary outdoor boxing stadium in “Tip Plaza”, the “WBC Thai Boxing Tournament began, with 11 matches between boxers from the international world of boxing.

The tournament was opened by Mayor Ittipon Khunpleum and the Senator from “Ang Tong” province (which is located in the middle part of Thailand) Pol. Gen. Gowit Pakdeepoom.   Many Muay Thai experts participated, helping make this tournament a world class session.

 The Advisor to the Mayor of Nongprue, who has been a boxing maven for his whole life, “Dr. Yodtong Senanan” came to witness every match. Boxers from many countries such as Iran, America, Spain, Germany, Italy, Sweden, France, English and Thailand participated, and were placed in many categories, ranging from 48 kg to 76.2 kg.

The main match for the evening was the fight between the British
boxer “Steve Wakeling” VS the Thai boxer “The Shark Chat-ga-nok-gym.” Steve won by a TKO, Technical Knock Out, in Round 4, amid the cheers of the fans.
