On Friday evening (21st), the Pattaya Police, supervised by Investigation Inspector Pol. Lt. Col. Pumipat Nanputsa, and the Sawang Boriboon Medics, were called to assist, after the decomposed body of an Asian lady was found hanging on a tree in the bushy area behind the “Made In Thailand Market” on Pattaya Second Road.
The Pattaya Superintendent Pol. Col. Nantawut Suwanlaong and the 2 Deputy Superintendents Pol. Lt. Col. Grisagorn Tong-in In Charge of Suppression, and Pol. Lt. Col. Trataip Tupanit In charge of Investigations, inspected the area in person, accompanied by Medics from Banglamung Hospital.
The body of the unknown lady, aged 30-40, was found decomposing, being eaten by hundreds of maggots, and smelling very bad. Her lower body was naked but covered by a green mat, and there was a black tank top on her upper body. Her eyes and mouth were tied up with fabric, and her hands were tied behind her back with cloth. Her body had been hung on a tree by her clothes, pulling her body up above the ground.
A green blood stained sport pants, white underwear, a pair of high heels, an X Rated CD cover and a brown lady’s purse with no valuables were found in the area. There were blood stains on the cement wall close to the tree. The medics from Banglamung Hospital inspected the body, and found that her head had been smashed by a hard object. The medics assumed that she was slammed onto the wall by the murderers, who could be more than one person. Her sexual organ showed lesions from being rape. Her tongue was protruding outside of her month, indicating that she had been dead for more than 4 days. The body was sent off for an autopsy.
Mr. Payoon Singnok, aged 45, who contacted the police, stated that he was told by a group of teenagers, who use the sports field near the crime scene, that they found the body in the described condition because they started smelling something bad a few days ago, and the smell was becoming stronger, so they decided to go into the bushes to see for what was causing it.
The dead lady remains unidentified. The police will continue with the investigation to find the killers, suspected to be the hobos around the area. The lady is thought to be a bargirl who knew the killers well enough to visit them in the bush. She must have tried to resist while being raped, which led to her being cruelly killed.
