On Friday night, the Pattaya Police, Police Volunteers and especially female police, led by Deputy Suppression Inspector Pol. Capt. Somchai Chaikananugoon, surrounded Soi Sunee Plaza to search for drugs and illegal activities. The officers had received various complaints from residents that there had been a lot of drug use and dealers in the area.
Suspicious looking people were approached and searched. Mr. Kanit Jaigrianggrai, aged 30 from Nakhon Sawan, was caught with half a tablet of Yah Bah, which he claimed was for personal use.
The karaoke bars were also examined, and 12 young ladies, aged around 20 – 30, were found positive for drug use from urine tests. They all confessed to taking Yah Bah before work, and that they were also provoked and pushed by the male customers to take the drugs. There were no underage workers found in the area, and The drugs users were sent for legal proceedings.
