On Wednesday at 1am at Pattaya Police Station, a girl was brought by her mother to make a complaint against a man who she accused of raping and assaulting her daughter who is 15. The rape took place on Tuesday at around 4 am.
The Investigation Inspector Pol. Lt. Col. Weerawut Meelai questioned the girl which she stated that she was staying in a rented room in Soi Khao Noi with a girlfriend where they agreed to help a man called Mr. Thomson Gaewprasert, aged 28 from Burirum province who needed a place to stay and they let Thomson stayed with them for a while.
Thomson raped the girl 1 time by hitting her at her stomach until she could not resist and after waited until meeting with her boyfriend and told him.
The boyfriend took her to her mother and her mother brought her to confront Thomson and ask him to take responsibility for his action. Thomson claimed that the girl cooperated with the conduct and he did not rape her as they used to have sexual relationship with each other before she started seeing her new boyfriend.
The police went to apprehend Thomson who was still in the room and took him to Pattaya Police Station for questioning. Thomson stated the same to the police and the mother of the girl insisted to press charge against him for rape and causing bodily harm.
The police then had to make police report and then refer the case to Banglamung Police Station under whose jurisdiction they come under.
