On Thursday morning at Father Ray’s School for the Blind, a Sports Day was hosted for a day of fun for the blind students. The Senior Deputy of the Banglamung District Station Mr. Pratchaya Uoonpetchawarahgorn opened the sport day for the teachers, students, coaches and guests.
The sport day’s purpose is to bring health and harmony to the students, and for society to accept the blind students and have encouraging attitudes toward them. These Sports Days are the first step for greater levels of competition for people with disabilities as well. Deputy Pratchaya played Ping-pong with a student after the grand opening, using ping-pong balls with bells inside for sound detection by the blind students.
