On Friday night at the Pattaya Police Station, a press conference was held by many commissioners from the relevant authorities such as the Narcotic Drugs Suppression Division represented by the Commissioner, Pol. Lt. Gen. Atitaip Pan-ja-ma-non, the Commissioner of Royal Thai Police Bureau Region 2, Pol. Lt. Gen. Ta-ngai Prad-sa-jak-sat-tru, the Deputy Commissioner of Royal Thai Police Bureau Region 2, Pol. Col. Teerapon Jindaluang, the Deputy Commissioner of Narcotic Drugs Suppression Division, Pol. Maj. Gen. Sorasak Yenprem, the Chonburi Provincial Superintendent, Pol. Maj. Gen. Tananaid Pin-mueang-ngam, and the Pattaya Superintendent of Police, Pol. Col. Nantawut Suwanlaong,
Pattaya City Mayor Ittipon Khunpleum and the Representative of DEA in Thailand Mr. Joseph Reagan came to publicize the results of Operation Rattlesnake 2011. This procedure was performed in accordance with the Order of the Prime Minister Issue 306 / 2010, wherein the Narcotic Drugs Suppression Division of Thailand was requested by the DEA of Thailand and the US Navy’s Crime Investigation Division, to cooperate in reducing drug usage during the month of February, 2011. Numerous drugs users and dealers were caught during this period, and it is interesting to note that Thailand and America have been working together for 175 years.
