On Saturday morning at Pattaya School No 7 on South Pattaya, the Drugs Free Public Takraw Tournament was held at which the Deputy Mayor Wattana Jantanawaranon was invited to be the Honorable Guest to start the games.
There were over 20 teams, representing Takraw Associations from all over the country participating in this tournament to support the games to help in the war against drugs, and of course to win the prize and trophies sponsored by the Former Tourism and Sport Minister Mr. Sontaya Khunpluem and the Pattaya City Mayor Ittipol Khunpluem.
The specification of each team was their ages must be combined total less than 90 years, and this tournament drew a great deal of attention from many Thai and foreign tourists alike and generate a lot of spectators to enjoy the games.
Takraw emanitating from Pattaya has become famous over recent years and it has helped many youths to stay drugs free effectively including teaching them good sportsmanship.
