Very early Monday morning, the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team was called to assist with an accident at an intersection of Soi Petragoon, in front of the Hollywood Disco, on Pattaya’s 3rd, Road, North Pattaya. One person was reported to be injured.
At the scene, Mrs. Ganjana Klibyen was unconscious, and lying in the middle of the road with a broken right arm. Her body was covered with scrapes caused by falling off the back of a motorcycle taxi. The taxi driver, Mr. Yutana Siripet, aged 25, was waiting to make his statement to the police.
Mrs. Ganjana was given first aid then whisked off to Banglamung Hospital. Mr. Yutana stated that his passenger hired him to take her to Central Road, using Soi Petragoon as a short cut. The accident happened when a gray car speeding down the opposite lane suddenly cut in front of his motorcycle taxi at the intersection. The vehicle was trying to turn into the other road, and going very fast, so Mr. Yutana could not get out of the way in time. The type of car and license plate were not known, so the police had to start searching by the color of the car only. The police made every effort to locate the suspicious car, but it was of no avail. Further investigations will be made to bring this fast & furious driver to justice.
