On Wednesday evening at Boon Sampan Temple in Soi Khao Noi, the Songkran Festival was arranged by the abbot of the temple Pra Kru Wisut Preeyagorn to conduct merit making ceremonies on the occasion of the Thai New Year.
 
The ceremony started with water pouring on the Buddha images to pray and ask for protection, followed by water sprinkling on the hands of elders by youngsters of the community.   
 
There were traditional Thai plays and performances such as dancing to Thai music.    Nongprue Mayor Mr. Mai Chaiyanit and Nongprue Municipality Council Members participated to bring luck and happiness to everyone for the New Year to come.
