On Wednesday at 2 am, Deputy Suppression Inspector Pol. Lt. Wisanu Chaisuwan led Pattaya Police to locate 2 Ladyboy Chain Snatchers. These rascals had snatched the gold chain of a foreigner in soi 18 in Naklua, and tried to escape on a green-white Honda Click bike heading towards the Dolphin Roundabout.
The network of police on duty were contacted, and the officers managed to arrest the suspects on Soi 2 of North Pattaya Road. The 2 offenders were identified as Mr. Wuttichai Sawaengdee, aged 16 from Srisaket Province, and Mr. Ekapan Jamrern, aged 20 from Udonthani Province, and were indeed arrested with a one baht gold chain, with a broken clasp.
The police took the 2 suspects to Soi Naklua 18 for identification by the victim, but the victim had evaporated. Witnesses stated that the victim was a very drunk foreigner, who was not sober enough to realize what just happened to him. He had already walked off somewhere, but he has often been seen by the witnesses, so they will cooperate with the police to help locate the victim later.
The 2 offenders were taken to Pattaya Police Station for legal proceedings. They confessed to grabbing the gold chain of this unknown male foreigner, after trying to sell him some late night intimacy, but he was too drunk to communicate with them. When they saw the gold chain, the temptation was too much, as they needed cash to pay their rent, some 2,500 baht. They were both detained, and the police will locate the victim to identify these bandits.
