Pattaya Police Superintendent, Pol. Col. Nantawut Suwanlaong, revealed on Tuesday that the police will be very busy, both day and night, during the coming Elections. The Parliament has just announced it will be dissolved, and the next Election for the people’s representatives will be on July 3rd, 2011.
Following the command of the Commissioner Region 2 of Royal Thai Police Bureau Pol. Lt. Gen. Ta-ngai Prad-sa-jak-sat-tru and the Commissioner of Chonburi Province Pol. Maj. Gen. Tanaid Pin-mueang-ngam exphasized The police will need to go deep into the details of the election process, to prevent dirty tricks or plans to get rid of competitors by crooked candidate. Supporters of contenders, who encourage threats and violence, and other trouble makers, need to be discouraged from the start.
Every Representative’s Office and some candidates houses will be guarded until the election takes place, as required. Observers will be sent into the communities to track the process of the election. Information about the Election and Laws relating to the Election will be announced to the people by TV, radio, leaflets and newspapers before July 3rd, 2011.
