“One lobster too many” – a few words overheard at the Elements Restaurant last Saturday in the Sheraton Pattaya Resort!    It was in fact, an announcement made by one of the guests indulging and enjoying the fantastic abundance of seafood and other delights on offer at the Ocean Feast Seafood Buffet.  Held every Saturday evening in Elements, one of Sheraton’s signature restaurants, guests can experience a gastronomical indulgence of the freshest seafood around.  Dine in a beautiful scenario, either inside in air conditioned comfort surrounded by the subtly sophisticated decorations of the Thai style Elements, or outside al fresco on the spacious terrace with a spectacular view overlooking the sea.

This popular Saturday evening event at Elements offers a choice of Blue Crab, large River Prawns, Squid, Rock Lobster and the stars flown in for the evening – large succulent Phuket Lobsters!  These are just the offerings available at the BBQ station – but there is more, much much more!   There is a wonderful selection of Japanese style Sushi and Sashimi, with slices of raw Tuna, Salmon and Squid to dip in a Soy and Wasabi mix; plus ‘on ice’ offerings of King Crab legs, Shrimps, marinated Squid and Rock Lobster tails; all constantly being replenished by the impeccable staff under the helm of manager, Khun Thanawin Ketviriyakarn.   To tempt you further, there are food stations surrounding the tables, such as a Pasta station where the chef cooks to order your choice of Pasta and Sauce.  There is also a Savoury counter with a super variety of meat and fish dishes, including Crab Cakes, Spring Rolls and other Thai appetizers, braised Duck, Pork fillet and Green Curry Chicken. 

Then make your way to a fine assortment of Breads, flavoured Butters and Cheeses to indulge in either with, or instead of, the superb medley of mouthwatering Desserts.   For pure decadence don’t miss the Chocolate Fountain oozing velvety Chocolate Sauce and waiting to smother pieces of fruit. 

It was indeed a dining experience to remember, and the guest who blurted out those words of wicked lobster overindulgence – why me of course!   The Saturday Ocean Feast Seafood BBQ costs 1,499 baht per person (excluding taxes and service charges).  However, this is probably one of the best deals around considering the usual high cost of just one half serving of Phuket Lobster!   Elements restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of the Sheraton Pattaya Resort on Pratamnak Road.
