Pattaya School No. 7, on Sukhumvit Road near Soi Chaiyapruek, was the venue for the 10th Takraw Thailand League Tournament on Saturday evening. The tourney was opened by the former Minister of Tourism and Sports, His Excellency Sontaya Khunpluem. The opening game was a match between the Chalamchon team from Chonburi province, VS the Dino Tamin team from Kalasin province.
Chalamchon casted 2 National players in the team who were Grisana and Somporn while Dino Tamin casted one National player.
In the 1st Round, team Chalamchon raced ahead, scoring 15 to Dino Tamin’s 13. The children of the sea were well served by their National player, Grisana, and their excellent teamwork. In 2nd Round, the Children of the sea still did better than the children from I-san, scoring 15 – 12, even though Kalasin tried to ask for time out to adjust their strategy. In 3rd Round, team Kalasin gave 100%, but failed to get through the killer serving technique of Grisana and the Chonburi team. Even worse, the Dino Tamin players seemed to lose their strength and could not improve. Chonburi sprinted to the finish, scoring 15 – 4, making Chonburi the leader in both Gor. and Kor. Categories.
