On Tuesday afternoon, a checkpoint was set by the Pattaya Police, directed by Deputy Suppression Inspector Pol. Capt. Somchai Chaikananugoon.  The roadblock was placed in Soi Korpai behind Rung Land Villas, next to Tony's Food Court, to lie in wait for the teenage hooligans who have been racing up and down this soi at extreme speed. Not only were these kids clueless about the dangers they were exposing everyone to, but they were blasting the neighborhood with excessive noise from their modified exhaust pipes. The residents of this soi had complained numerous times about the racket and the racing.  Finally a group of 9 teenagers did show up on their motorbikes as expected, and the police stopped them for searching.
 
No illegal items were found on the 9 teens, but their suspicious behavior led to urine tests, which proved positive for all 9 of them. They were taken to Pattaya City Police Station for legal charges.
