Cappuccino Restaurant Mercure Hotel

It was such a balmy and relaxed atmosphere that went perfectly well with the restaurants open plan location spread out at the rear of the hotel with a wonderful view of the swimming pool and lush garden area. 

 The Cappuccino Italian Terrace seats 100 guests and it really comes into its own as dusk approaches when the avenue of palm trees in front of the restaurant are lit up and candles are lit on each glass topped table which transforms the area into an excellent open air setting for dining in. 
We were greeted by our host, Parisian, Mr. Nicolas Nico Jousset, who is the Mercure Hotels Spa and Recreation Manager.   Nico together with Alex, the Daily Operations Manager, and their team of well trained staff really take care of the details in running the restaurant smoothly and efficiently.  Not forgetting the two executive chefs Natawut and Aaron who together creates all the exciting dishes on the Mercures extensive menus. 

We settled for the Set Dinner which comprised of 5 entree dishes which was a meal in itself.  There were generous portions of Shrimps in Cappuccino Sauce, Duck Liver Pate with Cream Sauce, Assorted Cold Cuts, Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil and a Mixed Salad. 

The Shrimps tasted fresh and delicious with the special creamy Cappuccino Sauce.  The Duck Liver Pate was cooked to perfection and was complimented by a wonderful cream sauce.  The Assorted Cold Cuts came French Style; a selection of great tasting salamis, pates, rillete, olives and pickles.  Both the Tomato and Mozzarella and Mixed Salad with a Balsamic Dressing were fresh and tasty. 

The main course was a superb grilled Beef fillet cooked to order and came with a delicious Butter Sauce and an assortment of vegetable dishes that included great French Fries, Saut้ Potato and Ratatouille.  All this was washed down with a bottle of wonderfully fruity Australian Red Cabernet Sauvignon.  

The meal was finished off with a colourful selection of great tasting desserts.  We had a beautifully velvet smooth chocolate mouse and two tasty pastry delicacies of Tiramisu and Blueberry Cheesecake.  A cup of excellent espresso rounded off a truly French gastronomique experience.  We recommend that you try the very reasonably priced Cappuccino Italian Terrace Restaurant.  Tel: 0 3842 5050.
