The Farm and Fern Restaurant

This week we discovered a really excellent Thai restaurant on the Naklua Road called the Farm and Fern. This essentially Thai restaurant has only been open for 4
months, has both an open air area with two Thai Bali style enclosures and rapidly received an excellent reputation amongst locals. It is a family run restaurant and its friendly owner, Khun Kib, who has very good catering experience in various restaurants in Pattaya, warmly welcomes everyone to enjoy a truly delicious Thai meal under the stars. The Farm and Fern is situated in a wonderful garden setting with trees, lush greenery and water features spread throughout the grounds, which comes to life at dusk when everything is lit up and highlighted to add to the very relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant. It has 23 wooden table settings but can also cater for up to 180 customers for parties and private functions, which the Farm and Fern did recently for a business function. Every night at 7.00pm live Thai music and singing is performed by a Thai mu
sician and customers are invited to the stage and sing with the assistance of a karaoke machine.
The extensive menu has over 100 authentic Thai recipes on offer, plus a limited but very good European menu. We sampled a good selection of Thai food which included an assortment of Thai sausages, then a delicious slightly spiced fish, Thai herbs and cashew nut mixture. There was a wonderful tasting salted fish with an assortment of vegetables which was followed by great tasting Prawn Cakes. We also tried one of the specialities of the house, which was Pickled Pork Knuckle; succulent chunks of pork with crispy crackling. If you want a great night out and authentic Thai food, then go along to the Farm and Fern, it is well worth a visit. The restaurant is open from 5.00pm until 1.00am. Telephone: 0-1864-1851.
