The Edge at The Hilton Hotel Pattaya

 

Well, we’ve finally made it to the Hilton Hotel Pattaya.  At last, mainly because other times that we were about to dine here, something occurred that we had to postpone the occasion.   Anyway, it was destiny to be here and this week we got the chance to try out the Friday Night Seafood Buffet at the Edge restaurant, created by Executive Chef Supoj Suwanwong.  Located on the 14 floor of this truly stunning hotel, The Edge is the hotel’s all day dining venue, extremely modern and stylish, with open kitchens and outdoor eating area with a spectacular view over Pattaya Bay.  Here on Friday night one can wine and dine with two special promotions: The Pattaya Seafood Buffet with an array of the freshest Seafood and other international dishes for 900 baht (plus tax).  Also, guests can take advantage of sipping a selection of great tasting international Red, White and Sparkling Wines at a set price of 700 baht (plus).  We were given a very warm welcome from Marketing Communications Manager, Khun Sunday, who showed us around this spacious eaterie.  As one can expect, the cuisine is top class – with so much food to tempt one!  The choice and pace is yours – just relax and enjoy the Edge experience.

The main specialties for this occasion, are of course the Seafood selection, with Rock Lobster, Fresh Water Shrimps, Squid all being cooked to order at one of the open kitchens.   There is an excellent ice station with (highly recommended) extra large imported Oysters, Blue Crab Claws, Mussels and Prawns to devour with a variety of colourful Sauces and spicy Dips.  Nearby is a Japanese Sushi and Sashimi station with a wonderful assortment of Seaweed wrapped Rice delicacies and various toppings.   Or go for a platter of fine smoked Salmon and other smoked fish delicacies, to accompany a fresh Salad – such as the ‘create your own’ Caesar Salad section.   Take a short respite and then enjoy either a slice of Pizza or Calzone; or have one of the Servers prepare a dish of Pasta with a choice of Sauces.  There are also a variety of international Meat and Fish dishes to choose from, plus a Carvery section with mouth-watering cuts of Ham, Roast Pork and Beef.  Filled up with all the outstanding Seafood, I tried a small serving of the delectable tasting Gnocchi (Potato dumplings) in a Creamy Cheese Sauce and Parmesan.

One must not forget to visit the Dessert station – with an eye popping display of tempting pastries, cakes, chocolate and fruit mousses, homemade Ice-Cream and toppings and a super Cheese presentation.  All in all, the Edge presents a five star eating experience with the Friday night Seafood extravaganza!  Give it a try!  Open all day until 11.30pm.  Telephone: 038 253 000.
