The Beefeater is a very friendly pub style restaurant is a very spacious layout with approximately 16 tables neatly positioned about the room; each smartly decorated. There are also tables available outside the main entrance in the terrace area of the Central Arcade.�� The waitresses all dressed in identical green, black and white uniforms add a smart touch to the casual atmosphere of the restaurant.

The reasonably priced menu is quite extensive and is internationally themed, that includes excellent steaks imported from Argentina and New Zealand.� Plus dishes from as far away as Sweden to Mexico.� Indeed, a generous bowl of Mexican tortilla chips and delicious salsa is brought to the table as you browse through the list of dishes on the ala carte menu.� There are also 2 Set Menus offered at 449 baht and 649 baht and a very good Thai Menu available.

There is a good selection of Starters, ranging from Greek Salad to Lobster Soup.� We ordered the Greek Salad and Mexican Spring Rolls and on arrival turned out to be both excellent choices.�

The Greek Salad was a colourful arrangement of fresh, well seasoned crisp lettuce and contained cubes of Feta cheese, croutons, black olives, peppers and tomato that tasted as good as it looked.���

The Mexican Spring Rolls did not disappoint.� Four delicious light pastry rolls that were filled with a mixture of good quality beef, jalapeno chili and cheese together with salsa and cream cheese dips.� It was as an American guest at the next table commented �like they serve in California, typical Taco style, and tastes perfect!�

From the Main Courses available, one can choose from a very good selection of Pasta, Ribs, Hamburgers, Steaks, Grills and Fish dishes.� There is something for everyone.� We ordered the special Beefeater Hamburger, a Thai dish and a Swedish dish called Planked Steak.�� The top quality Hamburger came with a generous portion of fries and coleslaw and tasted very good.�� The Planked Steak arrived on an oak wood platter that was garnished with mashed potato, asparagus and bacon wrap and a creamy b้arnaise sauce.� The tenderloin fillet steak was excellent as was the fluffy mashed potato and asparagus.� As for the Thai food, that had the thumbs up from my Thai guest.� Our waiter told us that the local Thai girls regularly eat the Thai food from the Beefeater, preferring to pay the extra cost than what they would be charged elsewhere.� That surely is a good recommendation.

From the Dessert menu we were recommended the Cr่me Brule and the Apple Pie.� The Brule was a deliciously delicate cream lightly coated with a crispy sugar crust.�� The Apple Pie was more of a Cobbler or Crumble style dish.� A combination of apple and muesli, Scandinavian style, that offered a wonderful collection of textures and flavours.
