Police announced the arrest of two people involved in a truck robbery incident on 19th September in the Sriracha area. As driver Mr. Adul was driving to Chonburi in an 18 wheel truck, he picked up a hitch hiker, along the way. Unfortunately and unknown to him, the man known as Songwut was part of a gang planning to steal the truck filled with valuable car accessories. Travelling close behind was a van driven by Miss Yupa, aged 38 from Sriracha. At a chosen moment, Songwut produced a stun gun and forced Adul to stop the truck. He was left stunned at the side of the road as both truck and van headed off along the highway. After an intense investigation, a part of the accessories worth 6 million baht were traced to a Mr. Somchai, aged 53 from Bangkok. He was arrested for receiving stolen goods as was Miss Yupa for robbery. Songwut aged 42 remains on the run. News stories placed on this website are short versions.
