Pattaya Police and 5 fire trucks were sent to Kiang Talay Condominiums on Soi 6 Pratamnak Road in the early hours of Tuesday to attend to a fire that had broken out at a condo on the 7th floor.   The residents had already evacuated the 15 storey building as smoke billowed from the room.  It took 30 minutes to control the fire and then the investigation began.  The Russian tenant staying in the room stated that he awoke to find the TV electric outlet on fire which quickly spread to a nearby curtain.  He failed to control the blaze, so called for help from the staff.  The primary assumption was that the fire was caused by a short circuit but further investigation continues.
